Demonic Forces of Human Sacrifice at work as Canadian
Tourist Murdered atop Teotihuacan Ruins
The Teotihuacan Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, located along the Avenue of the Dead, have a history of human sacrifice. Yesterday, a gunman murdered a Canadian tourist there and injured several others before sacrificing himself. Pastor Che Ahn believes we are witnessing something more than a sociological or cultural spike in violence.

Instead, he insists it is a demonic and spiritual escalation marked by increasing manifestations of evil in public life, from mass shootings in the United States to unsettling reports of violence in historically symbolic locations abroad.

Now, that violence has officially taken place on monuments to human sacrifice—literally.

In recent weeks, a mass shooting in Louisiana that left multiple people dead has once again underscored what Ahn describes as a widening atmosphere of moral and spiritual destabilization. While law enforcement investigates motive and circumstance, Ahn frames such tragedies within a broader spiritual context: the idea that unseen forces are becoming more active and less restrained in modern society than at any point in recent memory.
He draws a striking parallel to reports of violence in Mexico near the ancient ceremonial complex of Teotihuacan, home to the monumental Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon along the Avenue of the Dead. While details remain subject to verification, these accounts have circulated widely online and renewed public fascination with the site’s ancient history.
Archaeological research has long established that Teotihuacan was a center of ritual life in pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, including evidence of ceremonial human sacrifice—though far less systematized than what would later be seen in the Aztec Empire. For Ahn, this historical backdrop becomes symbolically significant: a place once associated with ritual violence now re-entering modern headlines amid reports of unrest.
He suggests these convergences—ancient sites associated with sacrifice, modern outbreaks of violence, and rising cultural anxiety—form a pattern worth spiritual reflection rather than dismissal.
Ahn’s central contention is not that history is repeating in a literal sense, but that the “unseen realm” is becoming more visible through the breakdown of moral order. He believes the current moment calls for urgent prayer, repentance, and spiritual awakening before, in his words, “the intensity of these manifestations increases even further.”
